MES Mampad College – Teaching for Economics Students

  • Basic Econometrics for Postgraduate Students: This course is designed for postgraduate students and serves as a foundation course in econometrics at the graduate level. It includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications using software such as STATA and R.
  • Demography for Postgraduate Students: Aimed at postgraduate students, this course provides knowledge of population dynamics, components, and various aspects of demography and population change.
  • Theory of Asymmetric Information and Behavioral Economics: This course is tailored for postgraduate students and focuses on understanding economic agents’ behavior during asymmetric information in markets, as well as recent developments in behavioral economics.
  • Basic Econometrics for Degree Students: Geared towards undergraduate students, this course offers a comprehensive introduction to basic econometric concepts and techniques. Topics covered include hypothesis testing, estimation, and diagnostic testing of simple and multiple regression models, among others.
  • Microeconomics for Degree Students: Designed for first-semesterundergraduate students new to economics, this course introduces the basic principles of microeconomic theory. Emphasis is placed on thinking like an economist and applying microeconomic concepts to real-life situations.
  • Macroeconomics for Degree Students: This course provides an in-depth overview of macroeconomics for undergraduate students. It covers the necessary ideas and tools to understand the working of an economy at the aggregate level, as well as the need for and ways in which government intervention is required in a modern economy.

MES Mampad College – Teaching for Non-Economics Students

International Trade and Finance: This course is designed for students pursuing degrees in disciplines other than Economics. It aims to provide a basic understanding of international trade and finance for students with limited knowledge in this area.
